What is OKUHLE?
OKUHLE (trading as OHY Okuhle) is a made-to-order streetwear label based in Mvundlweni, Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. We make golf tees, tees, baggy tees, sweaters and hoodies in black, white and gold, and sell direct to customers — no retail markup.
What does "Okuhle" mean?
Okuhle means "something beautiful" in isiZulu. It's the idea behind everything we make.
Where are you based, and can I visit?
We're at M70 Road, Mvundlweni, Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. We're always open for orders — message us on WhatsApp first to arrange collection or a visit.
How do I place an order?
Choose your item, colour and size on the shop page and tap "Order Now" — it opens WhatsApp with your selection pre-filled. Send the message and we'll confirm availability, final price and timing with you directly. You can also use the Quick Order form at the bottom of the homepage.
Is there an online checkout?
Not yet — every order is confirmed individually with you on WhatsApp before anything is made or paid for. This lets us confirm sizing, colour and any customisation with you directly.
How long does it take to receive my order?
Most pieces are made or printed to order, so production takes a few days. We'll give you a specific timeline once your order is confirmed, since it depends on the item and current order volume.
What sizes are available?
S, M, L, XL and XXL across our range. Select your size on the product card before ordering.
How do I know what size to order?
We don't have a published measurement chart yet, so the most reliable way is to tell us your usual size and, if you can, the brand/fit you're comparing to — we'll help you pick the right one on WhatsApp before you order.
How do I pay?
Payment (EFT or cash on collection) is arranged directly with you once your order is confirmed on WhatsApp. We never ask for your card PIN, OTP or full card number over WhatsApp.
Do you offer lay-by?
Yes — lay-by is available over 2–3 months on any order. Ask us for terms when you place your order.
Do prices change with bulk orders?
Yes — most lines have a bulk discount (e.g. buy 3 tees and save). The discounted price is shown alongside the standard price on each product.
Can I collect my order?
Yes — local collection is available from Mvundlweni, Pietermaritzburg. We'll confirm a time with you on WhatsApp once your order is ready.
Do you deliver outside Pietermaritzburg?
Yes, delivery is arranged individually based on your location — cost and timeline are confirmed with you when you order. See our Shipping page for more detail.
What if my item arrives faulty?
Contact us within 7 days of receiving it and we'll offer a repair, replacement or refund in line with the Consumer Protection Act. Because most pieces are made or printed to order, we can't offer change-of-mind returns once production has started — we'll always tell you if a piece is made to order before you confirm.
